The Moth in Anchorage
he live storytelling program that started it all is coming to town! The Anchorage Concert Association is bringing national storytelling program The Moth to Anchorage in a few weeks. The Moth will put on two very different styles of shows, and we think you would like them both:
The Moth MainStage Show (Feb 8)
A live storytelling show a la Arctic Entries with storytellers from both Alaska and Outside telling tales on the theme Between Worlds.
Wednesday, February 8, 2017 @ 7:30 p.m.
Atwood Theatre of the Alaska Center for the Performing Arts
Tickets: https://www.anchorageconcerts.org/season/moth
The Moth Story Slam (Feb 9)
An open-mic storytelling show! You can come to listen, or you can try telling a story. Just put your name in the hat — they use an actual hat! — at the beginning of the show; if the host pulls out your name, you get five minutes to tell a story on the theme Love Hurts. (Note that whether you put your name in the hat or not, you must buy a ticket to attend.)
Thursday, February 9, 2017 @ 7:30 p.m.
Williwaw, 609 F Street
Tickets: https://themoth.org/events/love-hurts (space is limited!)
