Nonprofit Partners for 2024-2025

While Arctic Entries is known for its captivating storytelling events, we have a not-so-secret side hustle as a fundraising organization. Each year, selecting our nonprofit partner is one of our most joyful and challenging tasks, and this season was no exception. We’re thrilled to announce our primary partner for Season 15: Anchorage Community Land Trust (ACLT).

Since 2003, ACLT has been working to disrupt the impacts of concentrated poverty by building generational opportunity. They’re not just talking the talk – ACLT walks the walk with their toolkit of real estate, advocacy, community improvements, and targeted programming. Their flagship initiative, Set Up Shop, is what this season’s proceeds will support. This program is all about empowering entrepreneurs in underserved communities to launch and grow their businesses, creating a ripple effect of community revitalization and generational wealth. We were deeply impressed and encouraged by ACLT’s dedicated focus on supporting Black, Indigenous, and People of Color, women, and low-income individuals. It’s this steadfast commitment to fostering economic opportunity that made ACLT stand out.

But wait, there’s more! We’re also excited to announce our secondary partner, Mutual Aid Network of Anchorage (MANA). MANA caught our eye with their grassroots approach to creating a city where people truly know and care for each other across all walks of life. From grocery deliveries and wellness checks to yard work and navigating social services, MANA connects community members that need assistance with volunteers in their neighborhood. They’re all about tackling the gaps in our social safety net head-on. Their commitment to providing no- to low-barrier access to meaningful aid is exactly the kind of community-building we love to see.
